Mark Keppel VAPA Master Class 2016-2017

Master Class Application

The purpose of this application is to establish an understanding of the student and family responsibilities which accompany membership in the 2016-17 Master Class. This class is a school-year-long commitment.  

Please be sure to read this carefully before signing.

Goals

• To encourage the acting, dancing, & musical growth of students through the use of musical theater games, the audition and rehearsal process as well as advanced performance opportunities.
• To help the student develop an understanding and appreciation for all aspects of musical theater.

Guidelines

• Classes will be held in the dance room every Tuesday, September 13th – April 25th 2:30–5:00 pm

                 *You may start classes this coming Tuesday, September 20th

• Please bring a healthy snack to have before class.
• Participants will be expected to attend ALL classes, rehearsals and performances. If a performer must miss a rehearsal for an emergency, a parent must contact Mrs Gilbert or Mrs. Neil via email the night before or the day of the rehearsal.
• Participants will be expected to participate actively and appropriately during all classes and rehearsals.
• Participants will be expected to practice and memorise songs, dances and speaking parts outside class.
• Each participant will be asked for a donation of either $26.00 per month (for 9 months) or a flat fee of $240.00.

Mandatory cue to cue tech rehearsal for ALL

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM    *We will break for lunch

             Monday – May 1st

Clean up Rehearsal

1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

             Tuesday – May 2nd

FULL Dress and Tech Run Through

1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

1:00 PM – Call Time (Costumes and Makeup)                        

2:30 PM – Curtain

4:30 - 5:00 PM – Notes

             Wednesday – 3rd

Keppel Teaser (for Keppel STUDENTS only)

8:15 AM – Call Time

• I understand the responsibilities of being involved in Mark Keppel’s Master Class, and will strive toward excellence in fulfilling my duties as a part of the class / cast of Disney’s Aladdin, Jr.  
• I understand that classroom teacher recommendations will be sought by Master Class teachers for

           every applicant.

• I realize that if I do not abide by all rules, there is a chance I will not be allowed to continue.
